1. What combination of tools did you use to isolate the fruit in “fruit_combo.jpg” and where in the image did you use which tool?

The combination of tools that I used in the fruit bowl combo picture were the Magnetic Lasso and the Magic Wand tools. First I  used the Magnetic Lasso to outline the bowl from the onion to the far right of the bowl. Then I used the Magic Wand to add and subtract parts of the bottom of the bowl, since it was the most difficult part of the picture it took a while. But then everything turned out fine.

2.Of the methods you used to isolate the fruit in the 3 pictures. Which method did you find most effective in this case?

Of the methods I used to isolate the fruitbowl in the three pictures, the method that I found the most effective i this case is the magnetic lasso. This is because it was faster and easier to use. Sometimes using the Magic Wand took a long time.

combo3. Experiment with the following:
After you make a selection in the menu and go to
     a) Select > Modify > Expand
     b) Select > Modify > Contract
     c) Select > Feather
What do these do? Post a fourth image indicating that you know what feathering does.

a) When Modify is used the selection marquee increases by the given number of pixels.
b) When Contract is used the selection marquee decreases by the given number of pixels.
c) Feathering is used to give the marquee selection a soft edge, sp that there wouldn’t be
    any jagged lines.
