Class Task #6: Photo Editing Challenge

The Cat:
For this, I first used the Elliptical Marquee Tool to copy the right eye of the cat. But I also feathered it so the edges won’t be so rough. Then I pasted the eye, flipped it horizontally and rotated it into place-aligning the starting line of the nose from the eye to the actual nose. Then I used the smudge tool to make the fur around the left eye darker, but it was not that good. So I used the paint tool to make tiny bits of fur, and then decreased the opacity to about 12%. And now this is the result:

The Ripped Newspaper:
In this challenge, I first used the Rectangular Marquee Tool to copy bits of the top left of the picture then I pasted it on the bottom left. After I did this continuonsly to fill up the ripped space I then used the smudge tool to smudge the joints so they look like they are one solid paper. Then I copied a part of Ho and pasted, flipped and moved it to the right place. Then I used the smudge tool so again they look like they are one piece and then used the dodge tool to lighten up some parts of the cheek so it matches the skin tone. And at last I made sure that there was straight lines around Ho’s picture and this was my result:
